Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Her budget was supplemented with a student stipend as well as part-time employment. Lennox did not feel content with her abilities compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox played flute in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. She was the vocalist for The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in the year 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to the art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave band that achieved some recognition in the 1970s. Then, she became a part of the band with her fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox launched a solo career with their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, a 1995 studio album features covers of songs like No MoreILove Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own and one compilation album, are at her disposal.
